what is the difference in HP between a 787 in a 1996 Challenger and a 93 SEADOO XS 750 , I know that for the most part they will bolt up the same If it is only a slight difference I dont care. I am only 170lb aand fish usually by myself from the challenger , I can get a 750 complete stage 1 with carbs , exhaust , cables , hoses , wire harness , switches etc for under $800
Good idea or bad idea.

why go mess'n up something, thats running good. You just fished with it, so..I'd leave it alone, and down road, you decide to sell it, then you gotta explain the conversion...if possible?

The 787 is seised corroded and not even sure if it is a useable core
Cant post pictures or I would show you

I assume you are referring to an XP. The engine in a 93 XP is 650. The 720 didn't come out until 95. Neither the 650 or the 720 will easily bolt right in where the 787 belongs. The 650/720 motors have 4 mounts, whereas the 787 has 3 mounts.

for that much, you can ship ur motor to sbt...since its not riding season, and ur a trucker, might catch a load/turn-n-burn from there, and drop ur motor off/switch it, for that much, maybe 1-2 hundred buks more, if ur motor is sa bad as you say it is, with all corrosion.
I'd keep the 800cc, chief....
