I have a 1996 Seadoo speedster with twin 85hp Rotax engines. I am not a jet engine guy and so I come here to learn a little. After being in the water for a little I discovered one of what looks to me like a colling manifold, the blue metal tobe like part that starts at the transom and goes on top of the engine and curves down to end at the engine block, was leaking when the engine is started. Now the starbaord engine will not run.

Could I have overheated the engine and blown it like a regular gas engine?

What is the best way to start diagnosing what is going on?

If I need a new engine, where can I get one and can I get a used one? If so for how much.

Cheers and thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

Sounds as if your describing the exhaust pipe, in which waters runs around thru it, and the blue/purple tube at the back is the waterbox.
Pull the plugs out, and remove the grey shield thats on the back of the motor, this will expose the PTO. Turn that counterclockwise with your hands. Should turn easy, if not...DAMN.., if it does, then install compression tester, should read, 150psi is Great, make sure to put plug wires on the orange ground post, mounted on top of the mag, which is in the front part of the motor.
Get back with the findings....
