How does one determine whether a carb regulator diaphram is defective?
My CRD, from a 93 GTX has no holes, is pliable, however, the metal ring is tarnished, but not rust pitted
According to the dealer, the discoloration is the result of water entering the carb, therefore, combining the discoloration with the age (15 years) of the CRD merits replacement on those grounds alone.
What do the experts think? The darn CRD is not cheap, $25.00 for a item that seems would cost less than a fin.
