Does anyone know if a new DESS post from ski-doo (snowmobile) will work on a seadoo? They look the same except the wires are shorter. (also 1/3 the price!)

My seadoo is having intermitant total loss of power as if you pulled the lanyard off. If you would pull it off and put it back on again it would fire right up.
