I have been having intermittent problems, with both keys, when i go to start the engine. I usually have to press, twist, jiggle the key to get the key to be recognized and get it started.
I assume it is the dess post and i was going to replace it; the overall process looks straight forward.
The guy that normally does the winterizing for me says that he thinks the keys will have to be reprogrammed by a seadoo dealer. I thought the post was just a reed switch without any effect on the programming/electronics. Everything that i have read says the post is just a switch.
Its a 2012 gti 130.
He says he had another customer who replaced the seadoo dess post and he had to tow it to a seadoo dealer for programming.
Before I buy and install the new dess post, i would like to be sure whether or not reprogramming will be needed.
