Well, I'm sure like many of you, I am chomping at the bit to get my boat out this season. I am a rookie, and am wondering what a typical cost is to have my 2002 Seadoo Islandia "de-winterized" if thats even the right term...

There is only one boat outfit near me without having to drive 40+ minutes and dont want to be overcharged because their the only outfit in town..

What are some general maintenance tips after having it sit all winter? What should be checked?

Thanks guys, you are all so helpful!

You should be posting in the boat section.

BUT.......

You have a Merc powered boat. You will need to find a good Merc dealer to do it, if you don't want to do it yourself.

Normally, de-winterizing a Merc just needs normal maintenance. Make sure there is oil in the tank, make sure there is good fuel in it... start it up to make sure everything is working... then put in a fresh set of spark plugs. (that's about it)

Sorry for posting in the wrong section, there are so many sections I can never figure out which one to use...

Thanks for your response, any idea on the cost?

Thanks
