Well the good news is your in the right place to help get it running...the bad news is you should NEVER jump start the seadoo because it causes a electrical surge and can ruin the MPEM,(Multi Purpose Electronic Module). Go to a auto parts store and get a new battery. Make sure it is charged up fully. In the pwc is a square box, that you need to unscrew and open up.Check all the fuses. Replace any that are blown with the exact one in its place. Check the battery connections to be sure they are clean and tight. Connect the DESS,(Digital Electronic Security System) Lanyard on the post. You should hear 2 beeps. If you hear 2 beeps it is ready to fire up. If not it won't even attempt to start. First try to clean the Post and the DESS lanyard with soap and water. Do not spray or apply anything to the cap or lanyard on the Post or the lanyard cap. The lanyard cap has a magnet and a ROM chip in it that communicates to the MPEM in the pwc. It is coded so it will only work on this seadoo. Try the lanyard on the post again. You need 2 beeps. If it is ready to start, have the fuel on, choke the machine and hit the starter. It should start. Pull the lanyard to shut it off. If you want to run it for a short while, connect it to a garden hose on the rear of the machine. Start it up first, lanyard on post...2 beeps hit starter.Turn on the water as soon as it starts. If you have water on before it starts it could flood the engine with water. Run it for no more than 4 or 5 minutes. The impeller and shaft bearings will over heat as it isn't in the water to keep it cool. Turn off the water, then shut off the pwc, in this order.
