dangerous to start at land?

Hello i have a quick question. I have a seadoo rxp -06

Is it dangerous to start it on the land? For how long ?
Do you dare to gas ? :ack:

it is fine to start it for a short time, the problem is the wear ring and driveshaft seal do not have any lubrication when out of the water so extended running would heat those parts and cause damage.

I always start my ski just out of the water on the ramp. Blip the throttle a few times to get all the water out of the pump and exhaust then shut it down.

ok thank you :hurray: I start my and then stop after that i tried to start again but it wont? i think the gastank is emty but the icon dosen´t shine. does it just do that when the jetski is on?

:agree: That is a good rule of thumb for dry starting with out the garden hose. Short run times on the garden hose to keep heat down from doing any damage. The fuel gage only works with the lanyard in place or a quick push of the start button on that model will activate the gages for like 30 seconds.
