I have a 1998 sea-doo 1800 challenger. when I try to start the engine the cylinder hydro locks. I then remove the spark plug and it is full of oil. would anyone know how to fix the problem, and what is wrong with it?
Pull the plugs and crank the oil oil. If you run it once a month you'll be fine. You can install a shut off valve in the oil line and that will stop the issue. Just hang your lanyard on it when it is off so you remember to turn it on.
The center seals... or the RV seal is bad. BUT... since it's been sitting for 2 years... I would clear the engine (pull the plugs and crank it) and once you get it started... it may be OK. (as long is it's getting run once in a while) In that case... just continue to run it.
If the engine locks up again in a few days... then it's time for a rebuild.
