Curious RAVE question

Not planning on doing this... but was wondering what would happen if you were to remove the RAVE valves and put a block off plate in place of where the valve mounts to the engine? I'm sure it would affect performance but would the engine run reliably?

I think we have had this question come up in the past, and I think we decided it was a bad idea. If you just block off the rave valve opening you have significantly increased the combustion area and therefore lowered the compression. If the motor would run at all it would run with a lot less power. So I guess to answer your question yes if the motor would still run I don't think it would effect reliability but that is a big if.
