I have oil in my engine. It smoke a little bit at starting and I have installed the oil shut off valve. Since then, no hydrolock but I still have a smoke when I start the engine. I have some questions.

1 can you change those seal (the dealer) if I bring the crankshaft to them?

2 I was thinking about removing the oil in the cavity and put some varsol in it for 2 days and again remove the varsol and put some fresh oil?

3 does anybody have try an oil leak additive?

In most cases, the seal actually wears the crank. Which means the crank would need replaced, not just the seal..

The smoke younare getting at start up is probably the oil left over after you turn the valve off, honestly I would not replace/rebuild the crank untill you are doing it for some other reason
