Couple questions after catastrophic supercharger failure ...

So I get home from a week long business trip and the woman says there's a problem with starboard engine ... Well I discovered that my PTO/MAG housing cracked up near where the SC mounts. After digging right in it appears that the aluminum threads on one of the supercharger fastners came right out jarring up the SC (I found the fastner in bilge with threads from pto around it. Oh no ... it doesn't end here ... So I pull the SC off and the bearing in the SC right behind impeller completely blew apart ... Fn' Awesome!!! .. well this caused the SC impeller to literally eat itself against the SC housing ... obvioulsy causing shards of aluminum to get sucked into the intake ... another bonus!! I just rebuilt this supercharger bout a month or so ago (15-20 hrs in boat time since rebuild). I'm really meticoulous and literally quadruple checked this SC before installing it. Not sure if it was a shotty bearing from get-go or if I did something wrong.

Anyways here's where I'm at:

I've pulled the head nothing serious in there, pulled the intake got it all cleaned (wasn't really that bad), I'm now ready for reassembly. I've got the new mag cover (SC impeller, parts, gaskets etc and housing is on its way),

Here's where my question comes in, I'm using a shop manual for an RXP of the same year (this ski has the 215 SC/IC), on the mag cover pages it shows an oil spray nozzle in the magneto cover housing, looking at my old MAG cover this part isn't in there?? Is the SC oil spray nozzle in the magnetor/PTO housing cover only for the Skis??

Damn man, sorry to hear about that, I am nervous about putting mine in the water now after the double SC rebuild Jerry at Greenhulk just did, were there any symptoms before the failure, or did it just go without any warning? Hope you get on her back on the water soon, at least you know where to start in repairing it, if mine did that I think I would just sit on the dock and cry....

Yah definatley not what I wanted to come home too. I've got the bottom of the engine cleaned out, and the intake cleaned out. I should have the oil and coolant back in tomorrow and get the supercharger in Thursday morning. The boat was running awesome when I left, I'll have to talk to the wifey about symptoms as she was the one driving it when it let go. She seems to be avoiding me ... probably cause she thinks I'm gonna kill her. Truth be told .... I've been playin around with seadoos for a few years now. Nothing really pisses me off when they break ... just irritates me ... These blowers add a ton of fun to the boat but when they go south ... DAMN!!! Lotta work!!! I'm also extra hard on these things too so that surely doesn't help. I've heard lots of good things about the SC rebuilder at GreenHulk, don't worry just drop it in and have fun!!

Back on water ... Put about 3 hrs in today on boat after 8hrs of cleaning and assembling. Thinking that oem is the way to go with sc parts. Boat certainly is sounding and perfoming better.
