Ok to start off I'm mechaincly inclineded but dont know that much about engines internaly. So I let my friend took my jet ski out a few weeks ago and said it started then slowly died and couldnt get it back running. I just got back from college and decided to look into what is going on. I hit the starter button and it just click. So I go to take off the starter and notice that was really hot. So I took the ds cover off and go to turn it and it didnt move. Isnt is suposed to move alittle? Then I go and take the head off. The cylinders seemed dry. Is this normal? What else is easy to check? Am I looking at a seized engine here? If so what will it cost to replace or rebuild?

Thanks
Kevin

not sure what "ds" is, but remove the plugs and pto cover, and turn it, if turns smooth, then should be alright. Tighten the head, and do compression test, if button wont turn over, inspect the red cable from relay to starter, also the ground cable, if ok, then jump the relay, if mstarter kicks motor over, replace the relay.
