Hello. I just want to confirm that the shop manual is correct when it says 24btdc max timing and 6btdc idle set. I was on a mercury group and they suggested that most of the merc motors are atdc timing on the outboard powerheads. My mercury manual states btdc for both and I just want to be sure. Prior to me rebuilding this motor the PO used 6 atdc and 24btdc. But it think that's wrong... any advice?
