Cooling Tell Tails

Hi Guys, was out riding a 97 GTX today and other than the expected amount of water out the back there were no Tell tale signs of cooling. Should a GTX shoot a tell tale to indicate proper cooling ?

Yes, it should squirt some water out the "Tell Tail". It won't squirt more than a couple feet it that much. I would check the cooling lines inside the boat for any blockage, If it isn't squirting any water. That's why it has that feature, so you know if it is cooling or not.

tel tale problems.

:agree: Check your hose running from your exhaust to your tell tale and check the tell tale plug for blockage also ... pull the hose off and inspect for blockage... if there is no blockage here then check your other cooling hoses the same way.... let us know how you went.
