I have an 08 Speedster 150 SCIC and had noticed that the overflow bottle was empty today. Well, I happened to be under the boat today inspecting things and saw a drop of coolant coming from the jet intake. What could be leaking in that area? What should I look to as the culprit? I was planning on taking it out today, so I hope to get this resolved :(. Thanks.

check all your hoses and clamps in the engine compartment. as new as it is though I would probably take it back to the dealer :(

Yup, taking it in tomorrow :(. These guys are so inept that I am dreading taking it there, but with my right hand still in traction, I can't take the ride plate out myself to fix it :(.

Ride plate?....

I kinda doubt that it's your ride plate. I bet its a fitting of one of the hoses either in or out. You didnt' notice any coolant in the boat? Just noticed it while you were under it?

Man, I hope you don't have a leak in that thing. If they find a leak in the ride plate, I'd demand a replacement, not a repair.

Nothing leaking in the boat at all. I checked both hoses and both clamps were tight and they were bone dry. I saw coolant puddled on top of the plate and dripping by the grate. I don't know what else it can be? It took almost 2 quarts of water this morning to top it off, then about another 1/2-3/4 quart after running it for an hour at the lake. Oddly enough, I didn't see any leak when I got home, but I don't want to take a chance with it.

No....don't

No.....don't take a chance with your radiator (basically). If it has a leak, then the pressure you build in it is only gonna keep pushing the fluids out.

If you see it puddling around the top of the plate, I'd take a pix of it, then take it in. The reason for the picture is for when they come back and say, "well, we didn't see anything".........you can show them that there is an obvious problem.........

Hopefully, they'll just take it in and replace it. I don't think I'd want it welded or some other fix. You paid good money for something that should be no less than perfect.
