Coolant hose stupid question

Okay so I'm sure this is a stupid question but here it goes anyways. I just got a 2005 sea doo gtx and was changing the plugs and trying to change the oil....well while pulling the coolant reservoir out of the way I discovered that the clear hose coming out of the reservior wasn't attached to anything. Is this just an air hose or is it supposed to be attached somewhere inside? I would also appreciate any tips on the oil change as its my first time.

The clear hose doesn't attach to anything. It's just a overflow tube and should lead down to somewhere low in the hull away from the driveshaft.

no biggie man! its just an over flow, incase it over heats it blows the coolant water else where!
