So I got this new 95 seadoo xp with a 720 motor I wanted to check everything that I could be fore taking her out on water.

So I bought a compression tester from harbor freight thinking that was a good idea even though there's only a three $4 difference compared to AutoZone. But let me tell you I was really worried my first tested it I got 95 or 93 PSI with the harbor freight Pittsburgh one. And about started ordering parts to redo the top end. But I read some things online that their testers are not very good at harbor freight so I went and bought one from AutoZone and let me tell you how relieved I was. Still isn't perfect but I got 140 on the AutoZone compression tester so I am pumped the ski is in great shape.

But also wanted to ask has anybody ever had problems with blocking off the oil pump and just pre-mixing? My other ski has pump and made filling it up so much easier! So I didn't know with the pump being in the ski if that allows more oil to be pushed in with more throttle. Or it's just steady oil supply. Just getting hip to 2 stroke engine parts.

I have said it before but use a quality Gauge and you are not the only one to have issues with the Harbor Freight ones.

Premixing will use a lot more oil and be less convenient. Also on your ski you still will have to find a way to supply the rotary gear with oil even if you premix.
I swear by the stock oil injection system on these.

Yeah man they had lines rigged up on it. Tubes that go to rotary gear. And lines hold oil. And there is bottle in there can hold oil.
