sounds like rings/piston is gone. noise is piston slapping around in cylinder and/or on rod. Do not try and run it anymore. Pop the head and take a look inside. I am sure you will not be impressed.
BTW backj is pto and runs a little lean to begin with. The lack of fuel could have been the problem for sure. How many r's were you pulling when it happened?
