Compression Question

Hello, I am new to the forum and to the Seadoo world. A buddy and I bought a 93 and 94 Xp this spring and his was running sluggish so I thought I would do a compression test. The 94 with the 657 engine is running at 125psi and is sluggish, can get up to speed but not very quickly. On the other hand my 93 xp with the 717 engine in running 115psi and seems to run great, throttle is very responsive. Wondering what would be the best thing to do?

Compression is low on both. You probably have other things going on too. It could be anything, we have nothing to go on. Sound like they both need top ends though

Make sure you are using a good gauge (aka not a harbor freight gauge).
Let us know what the compression is in each cylinder

I would second trying another compression gauge.
At 115 psi they typically will not even start in the water so that reading is suspect.
