Anyone have a solution to the coils popping up on a 4-Tec ? Also anyone know where you can buy just the silicone seal on the connector to coils ?

I had some that were giving me problems after last time I had them out for winterizing. I cleaned all the grease out from the hole and the ridges on the coil that help hold it in. Then pressed it in slowly and off to one side to allow the air pressure to escape. Worked it in until it was not being pushed back up from trapped air pressure. Seems to be good now.

Make sure the plugs are screwed-in tight. If they are loose, they could be leaking some compression into the space where the coil fits and be pushing it out. |
Also, I noticed when I changed my plugs, the coils gripped the new ones a lot better than the ones I pulled out. I think the threads on the old plugs get worn down a bit after a while and the coil doesn't grip on as strong. The new plugs definitely were gripped a lot more firmly by the coil.

Wished I had found those a couple months ago. I bought several of the whole plugs just to get those little SOBs
I bought those last year and they didn’t fit my 2011 harness. I ended up finding a bad used 2011 harness on EBay and pulling them out of that, so dont feel too bad.
