So, after alot of reading reviews on here and speaking with Jeff at cobra jet..I drove there and baught the rudder for my opti m2. I feel as some of the reviews are close but don't give it credit. After having the seadoo Utopia for 3 years and been beat up at the docks and haveing to counter steer and steer and then counter steer and make multiple attempts .. I have found that the device helps.. now that being said... it still is a jet drive and runs on the thrust factor, but the backend no longer kicks out of control at slow speeds even neutral. When you turn the wheel the boat moves more quickly then before but still not to the same as a stern drive boat... needless to say it's worth the 160-175$ price tag... I was ready to sell the boat and get a Yamaha with the rudder but now I had fun on it last night and it was soooo much easyier to dock on my left and at the restrauent on the water...

Great product and worth the money.

That is good to know. I have trouble at times docking my boat especially if there is a strong side current. One quick question. Does the rudder affect reverse in anyway?

Im not sure if that was the question he was asking. It does not effect the operation of the reverse bucket, but the fins are still adding rudder effect while in reverse. Is that a more clear answer?

The fins are shaped with an indentation to allow the bucket to drop as it did prior.

Sorry about the thumbs down on the original post. I tried to give it a thumbs up and it seems to only allow a thumb down.

The icon changed to thumbs down once you hit thumbs up. That allows you to change it away from what you did. So if you hit thumbs up, and then see the red thumbs down you did it correct.
