Clunking/pinging nose coming from rear???

I just got my 96 GTX working and now i am hearing a clunking/pinging/metal to metal nose coming from the rear, it seems to be running fine while on its trailer but i havent put it in the water yet. Does anyone know what this could be? I havent done any work to it or anything.

Bearing noise?.......

If it sounds a bit like bearing noise, that's fine. If seems all the older seadoo's have this sound. They sell a kit that is suppose to stop it but don't waste your money on it. Mine worked for about 1 hour. ......now it's back to the same sound.

If it's really bad, then you may have a bad bearing. If this has been sat up for a while, have you checked the pump oil?:cheers:
