I am new to the watercraft world. During storage of my Seadoo GTX-Di 2002 a mechanic put large amount “about 100 ml” of non-synthetic oil into each cylinder. How can I remove this oil as summer is approaching? .. Thanks

this is a 2-stroke? the oil has run down into the crankcase by now. at least on the 1 piston that ended up down. if he turned it over as he did it, it all ran down. or out the exhaust. probly both. they don't have crankcase drains at the bottom anymore. pull plugs, put a rag over top of holes and spin starter. make sure to use grounding lugs for plug wires. if a 4-stroke, the oil is mostly still on top. pull plugs, try to turn motor over a couple of times by hand. if u use starter the stuff will really fly. then spin starter-with rag over holes. put in plugs and fire it up. wanna see some smoke? you will.

I agree....

I agree with Derek.....the oil is to provide a moisture barrier on your idle bearings.......the exhaust ports are up high, actually above the carbs, so...I'm sure it didn't run out.
The oil in the bottom of the crank casing won't hurt a thing. Do like Derek said, then when all the oil is about expelled, put your plugs in and fire her up........but like he said, if you want to see some smokin........here's where your gonna see it!.......
When I built my 787, I used Lithium to keep a good moisture barrier....my neighbors thought I was spraying for mosquitoes.........

Heck skatman...I saw the smoke from Florida...
I haven't fired it yet .. It was just quick test .... wait for the real smoke:ack:

Thanks derek
It's a 2-stroke . he cranked the engine after putting the oil..... i understood that most of the oil is gone by now ... for the remaining oil, you suggest removing spark plugs and Crank the engine. right?
why should i block spark plug opening with a rag, if i want to clear oil?

The oil will squirt all over the place! if it is in the house or garage it will splatter the celing...it will go everywhere depending on how much is in there.
