I am primarily a surfer. A few years back, we used a product called UltraDeck instead of wax (on top of the board, so your feet stick to it). It was a clear rubber material that was put on from a spray can, so it went on slightly bumpy, but left a sticky, bumpy, and clear layer of rubber on the deck of your surfboard. It kinda felt like truck bed-liner in texture, but was much thinner and clear and just a bit tacky.

I never used it, because it was a little abrasive on your chest and other sensitive parts that came into contact with the surfboard:ack:

But now that I have the boat, and the dog is loving it, except she slips and slides whenever I accelerate or decelerate, I would love to find this stuff again and use it on the floor of the boat, down the stepping areas where there is already a little texture.

Anyone know where I can get this or something similar to it? Something that can be sprayed or paint-rolled onto the floor, that is tacky, and will last a season or two before needing to be replaced? Preferably clear or white, since it is so hot down here we cannot walk on dark surfaces in bare feet.

I'm completely lit right now, and across the country in NY but our "advanced auto parts" company/store sells a rubber coating in clear and black that I've used on our knee board and for my 97 gti before i got our 03. comes in a can and is called "rubber coating" if you dont have advanced auto parts let me know im sure i can dig some up and send it your way.

I have an Advanced near work, and will look locally at O'Reilly and AutoZone today.

Glad to hear there is something out there that will work...
