When I had the heads off this weekend I noticed a lot of water deposits on the outside of the cylinders. I tried some CRL and a tooth brush that seemed to work OK but not great. Once I had the heads back on I did some Google searching and a lot of people recommend vinegar to clean the deposits. I disconnected the two hoses at the top of the heads and poured vinegar in that way. The glass bowl shows what came out the first time. I'm going to leave it in there a few days and pour some more in to see what comes out.

Looks like the vinegar really works. I had a tankless water heater that had sediment in it and the tech said use it to clean it out. Worked like a charm.
