I have been working on 02 4-Tec rebuild since last winter. Rebuild went very smoothly. I decided to purchase everything I needed in the winter and didn't get around to the alignment until some time later. After experiencing a lot of drive line noise, I did some searches and found a case where someone here had checked the run-out on one, and found it to be out of the seadoo specification (not sure what that is). I called SBT and was told that I was outta luck because too much time had past since I purchased the alignment device. It had 0.050" run-out. I have meticulously taken care of the shaft so I know it was shipped out of specification from SBT. I am past being upset about a defective alignment rod now. I just wanted to warn people that are purchasing to check the run-out immediately when you receive the alignment shaft. There ARE problems with the tolerances of the device SBT sells.

Oem....

SBT guarantee's that their products are OEM certified, so if in fact, your tool did not meet the specifications, then you need to call and speak with someone other than the person you spoke with. You will have to prove that the rod is over the allowable tolerance too.

Well, they decided to check their stock and pulled 10 at random and found them all to have a tighter tolerance than the Seadoo tool they had on hand. I was posting questions on their forum about if any of the ones they checked had been returned by a customer so they could validate that the shipping process was capable. They did drop a tool and it went out of alignment by 0.030". After I asked the question, they closed the thread. I really don't want anything from them, I just don't want anyone else to get a bent tool. I know mine wasn't dropped. Too bad. While many have opinions on them I have always had deacent luck with their products.
