I just tried this out...very very cool technology. Open it up and check it out. You'll need a web cam and a printer. Definitely worth it though!

I've seen a you tube video of that. Wow GE has the money to put in to that. I would do your reach into the smart grid tech. They are wanting you to change out your things like your termostats with ones that the power company can control and they will turn it up or down to save engery. They are testing it in Dever area now and they told them they would only do it for 5 mins a day but some people have had it turn off for 5 hours at a time.
More Goveremnt control, Less freedom.

Can you share more info on what you have here because I do not fully understand but I do like what I see. At least I think I do. I believe that you have seen more of this idea than what you have gave us to see and you have a more complete picture of what you are describing. please give us more info if you can. :cheers:

TZ, I havent done research into what you are talking about. I was just wanting people to see the technology regarding video recognition. Probably best to start a new thread discussing this, but does sound like another case of big brother.

Robin, if you print out the marker and hold it infront of your webcam, it'll do what it shows in the "how it works" video. You have to launch the "wind turbine" or "solar energy" links to get the webcam activated on the site.

JoeZ that is so cool Thanks for shareing this info with us. I had to reread to understand completely. reading comprehention was a weak subject for me I must be from the show me state. lol I have not tried it yet as some one thought my printer was a piggy bank and made a deposit of a few coins and jamed it. I just bought a new printer today and will give it a try. :hurray:
