All 3 of these ads are the same guy, he actually has the $24k one for sale is trying to make it look like his is a good deal by faking the other two ads. I've got him on the line under the $28k ad, any suggestions what I should do? Bust him out and see what reaction I get, post a beware ad.... I know someone out there more creative than me can think of something better.

Jul 15 2004 yamaha wake ar 230 $28000 (Anoka)

The AR230 HO is a great boat. The bottom one lists the SX230, that's not the same boat. Could he possibly be selling two boats, or was it listed incorrectly?

I don't think there was an HO version in 2004.

This may be a fake ad, as I have seen that boat on the Yamaha Jetboaters webisite. It could just be a scam all the way around.

how were you able to determine it is the same guy?

It's a rare boat in my area and when the two ads when up within an hour of each other I assumed it was the same guy, so I sent emails to both and he replied to both ads within one minute of each other and both had the same signature (however it is through anonymous craigslist email).

The SX is a very similar model so he's trying to establish comparable sales. He actually bumped that ad after he put "pending sale" on it.

He's actually taken this lie another step further and told me the one listed for $28k has sold.

On the email where he told you about the 28k one selling, reply asking about the cheaper one. Maybe even change the subject of the email.

put up a fake add your self for the same type boat at 50% of what he is asking and put it as a pending sale so you can just say it is sold
