YUP! Stupid.

Just buy an old 80's or 70's jet boat like my dads old machine...455 olds on a jet pump with 18' hull. You just KNOW it never got over 30 mph...:reddevil:

That was a berkley pump and yes, they did get over 30 mph!.......more like, 31 or 32 :rofl:

No, seriously, those babies ran like banshee's!....I had a brother in law that had a 1979 with a 455 olds in it. He would be cruising about 45 or 50, then hit the reverse on it. When he did, the entire nose of the boat went under. They also had "hot foot" gas peddles in them. I almost bought one. Guy had if for sale for $1900 bucks.......of course, back then a new Mustang only cost 4 or 5 K...........
 
YUP!!!! Berkley pump. Ran 60 mph no problem.

god, I miss that old boat. I would buy it back in a second no matter what the cost.
 
yea my cous has a 383 stroker with a berk pump and hits close to 60, love my boat better but wish I could rooster tail like his, almost across the entire lake
