Ok, so out on the lake today, was taking it real slow as my wife had a minor op around 10 days ago, just tootling around really. Anyway, the wind dropped and the lake was nice and flat so I opened her up a little, I was only above 3000 RPM's for 30 seconds and the 'Check Engine' light appears on the drivers side engine. I stop the boat and open up the back, no real issues except around 2-3 inches of standing water in the engine compartment and I find my bilge pump has quit. Take the boat out of the water and drain all of the water out of the compartment and off we go again.

Boat starts fine and no Check Engine light, so off I go again just cruising around, then open her up, same issue reoccurs. There was no loss of power or any other signs to accompany the light. So backed her off and then cut the engines for a break. Started back up 15 mins later and same issue, no engine light below 3000 rpm's but as soon as I open up, on it comes?? Where to start?? We are heading out for our family vacation next week and dont want to ruin it by not having a boat.. help..

sounds like you have a faulty oil pressure sensor, very common problem on these boats. I had the same problem, but it was sporadic..ordered new sensors and will put them in next time I'm out!! There are 2 sensors on each engine, each sensor costs around $30.

Good luck

So running the boat with this issue should cause no damage, as long as the oil is A ok?

Just make sure your oil levels are half way up the dipstick. Does the problem disappear at all when out on the boat or does it happen every single time you try to throttle up??

Once I throttle up for the first time after starting the light comes on and stays on until I turn the engine off.
