Check engine light 4 beeps no start

Just bought the boat. First time I was stuck on lake about 30 min and it started back so I took it home. Started five times in driveway just fine when I was home. Next day I took to the lake and first time I shut it off I had to be towed back. Went out on a friends boat, got back to dock and it turned right over. I took it home and went on vacation for a week. Returned home and it started right up......once. I turn it off and the check engine light will appear and it won’t start back each time. It gives me the two beeps as soon as the Dess is applied and immediately after 4 beeps happen. I have pulled the neutral switch and I’m getting current through it. Any suggestions?

I was going to suggest the neutral switch. I think 4 beeps means that its not in neutral....might just be a re-positioning of the shifter that's needed. I have to do that ever so often to make sure it's in the neutral detent when the pushbuttons wont start the engines. Pulling it down the road hitting bumps can move the shifter slightly....just a thought.
