Hi guys,

Newbie here. Just picked up a 2008 speedster 150. LOVE it!

Any idea how I can change the speedo to read in miles per hour vs kilometers per hour?

Cheers.

It has to be done through BUDS, which is the computer system. Its gonna need to go to the dealer. If you bought it from a dealer, i would ask them to do it for you.

I'm looking into this too. I have a Lowrance GPS / Fishfinder however waiting to be installed, so if it costs more than $50 to switch units on computer I won't bother.

Please.Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Don't you go into the mode menu and change it from there?

That works on the older models. I think it changed in like 2006 to where it needs changed in the computer.

Crisso, you are right. My book says to "Hold the mode and set buttons" for 2 seconds to change from English to metric option.

Oops, I didn't Rfoster's post until I posted mine. Mine is a 1996 GTX.

Does someone have an operator's guide for 2008....maybe in the premium section???

Ive already posted the answer in the first reply, no need to check the manual. Unless you have the BUDS software, you need to goto a dealer.

is this for real? Just took my speedster from the dealer and realized it is set to miles / farenheit which means nothing to me... so I need to take it back to the dealer???? this would be the most ridiculous thing. come on....

Hi,
It's not that ridiculous. Maybe they got it from USA owner. I thought you could change it yourself but RFoster says a BUDS system is needed, so call the dealer before making the trip...just in case.
