Hey guys, I wanted to replace my trigger coil on my 787 motor and was wondering how to pull out the wires from the square plug on the mag cover. I tried carefully pulling on them, but feel like I'm going to just pull out the wire and leave the pin inside... what's the trick to taking apart the actual plug and getting at this w/o screwing the plug up?

Thanks!

Figured it out: for all those attempting the same thing, DON'T JUST PULL ON THE WIRES! To properly disengage the trigger coil leads from the plug, you must first work the orange rectangle keeper from the inside of the plug (the square side with all the leads facing out). Next, carefully pry the rubber backing that surrounds the wires back and carefully work the leads out of the plug. Take note what color wire comes out of where. On my ski, the black/yellow was in the corner, the yellow just underneath. Reassembly is reverse of removal :)
