I picked up a '96 Challenger and it looks like the PO was using the Mystic sea and snow synthetic blend. I know the 787 calls for full synthetic and would like to switch. Am I good with just draining the oil tank, or do I need to try and remove as much as possible from the RV cavity. Issues with the two oils mixing? Tried to research it but get conflicting information.

I use mystic JT4 full synthetic. You should have no issues mixing a full synthetic and a blend and long as they are both API-TC and not TCW3.

I have purchased the blend from Farm & Fleet but have not seen the full synthetic anywhere. Is there a store that stocks it or are you ordering online?

I am also a firm believer in Mystik JT4 full synthetic API-TC .... been using it 5+ years in 3 skis and love it. Castrol product and very similar to XPS oil by the msds sheets.... I get it local at Academy Sports for $27 a gallon, so if you have them go there. Can be hard to find though, as not all stock the full synthetic, and I usually buy 4 gallons to have for the season.

on flushing the rv cavity I used one of these pumps hooked to the upper line that goes to the top of oil tank to suck oil through the cavity into a jug after putting gas in the oil tank and shaking it up to get all the tcw-3 out. Reinstall the tank, fill with new oil, suck the old out. Mine was tcw-3 tho.

harbor freight/autozone/advance auto/etc have these

If the full synthetic and the syn blend will mix with no issues, do I need to empty the RV cavity, or can I just run what's left in the oil tank and add synthetic once it's low?

Is anyone able to help me with a step by step for changing from TCW3 to API-TC?

Snikwad003 posted to use a siphon to pump the oil from the line off the top of the oil tank...but is there anywhere else I need to remove oil (other than the main oil tank)?

And should I run gasoline through the whole system or just the tank itself?
