I got my under water led's installed Sunday...install a small blue led push button on the dash...here's some pics..image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Looks good and I like it. How big of a hole did you drill below the waterline to run electrical wires? For me that would be a major reason not to do this modification. The other reason is I never have used my boat at night (my loss) otherwise I bet it looks great in the night waters. Where in Florida do you ride? Florida is a big state.

Thanks....it's a very small hole..1/4 inch and it's filled with 5200...then I went in the inside to apply 5200 over the holes but there was a large amount already pushed out...before I pushed it in place and screwed it on I out lined the light with a ring of 5200...I would be more worried about exhuast gasket or Schufler value leaking before these... Man boating at night is fun...most of the time the water is flat as a lake and there's no wind....they have a big fire work show here Thursday night for the tourist....I had one on my old seadoo sportster 1800 but it was no where as bright....the water is so clear here it goes a long way... It lights up a big swim area... I have two little girls so we stay on the hughe shelf area where it's only knee deep at night..that light brings a lot of fish around...sharks follow the fish so that's the only spooky thing about night boating...it seems like it would be very dark out there but it's not... The city lights and the moon light gives it enough light to see..I'm in the western panhandle...destin Florida....if your ever in the area or close to it this is a good place to ride....there's little islands in the bay also...we camp there at nights to with the boats...here's some pics...image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I have never been up to the panhandle of Florida. Looks like a beautiful place to ride. I personally ride here in west central Florida, Tarpon Springs, Hernando Beach, New Port Richey and Bayport.

I bet that area is really nice also...you have a lot of riding areas....me and a couple of friends are talking about traliring the boats down to keys....the idea sounds better then actually doing the long trip... Not sure if we will ever do it or not...

Going to the Keys is about 6 long hours drive from my location. From where you are add another 5 hours. That is a lot of driving unless you stay in the Keys for a week or so and do a lot of fishing to boot.

I'm taking my boat out today for a beginning of the season test ride. Going to be sunny and 85 degrees today. Did an oil and filter change last week and just finished installing a new Solas impeller (14/19) and wear ring yesterday. That freezer trick to remove the wear ring worked great. The only tool I had to buy was the impeller removal tool and that cost $18.00 at SBT. Also bought a spare wear ring for $40.00 also from SBT in Clearwater, FL The old wear ring wasn't in too bad of shape and the impeller had some real minor dings (more like scratches) but not enough to send it out to be refurbished. So I accomplished two things. I now know how to change the wear ring and impeller and I have spare parts to replace if I hit something. In the summer around here you may wait two or three weeks to get you boat worked on by the stealership and pay through the nose for that repair.

So to all out there, "Have a wonderful and safe 2015 season." And yes to all up north, "Smile, your season is just around the corner.....maybe?"

I like how the registration numbers are hidden in the graphics. Make it harder for the water cops to see them.

What LED did you order and how much. Been wanting to do this mod but I am put off by the price of some of the kits.

The LED's are from west marine online...it's a 2 pack for $99.00...they are very bright...the button is from ebay and was about $7.00...i sealed them really well when installing them but added extra protection with some black silicon...
