I have a 1999 1800 twin. It is missing both intake grates. Having the weed less system I kind of have an idea of what they look like. Though I am not sure I want to go stock. seeing that a lot of boats break them. I don't go in water with lots of stuff floating so I am not worried about keeping the weed less part. But can I use a solid state one. If so what size should it be? I run a machine shop and have no problem cut and fab something up. I just don't know hole spacing and length. I do not have access to the boat right now it is being worked on about 2hrs away from me. not like I can walk into the back yard and draw something up. :facepalm: any help would be nice.
