So I have just removed my ride shoes (thanks to you guys) using a heat gun (for 30+ minutes) a nice long 18 inch pry bar from harbor freight and a small exact-o knife. I tried the bottle jack/wood method and started to crack the rideshoe so i resorted to the long flat pry bar + heat method. Heres what it looked like in action.

Note: Start heating up the ride shoes while starting to set up and make sure they get nice and hot! Work them slow and they will pop, you must use the heat!

Furthermore, while I have these ride shoes off, should i try and pop off the jetpump supports or do these rarely cause cavitation. I do have the challenger 1800 twin pump model. The manual notes NOT TO REMOVE these needlessly for they seal the hull.

Should I remove the jetpump supports while the pumps and shoes are off or leave them as is? Do Challenger 1800's get cavitation around these jet pump supports ever?
