When taking off from a dead stop with 4 adults on board @ full throttle engine revs to a bit over 4500. Once on plane it’ll rev to 5500ish and run about 45mph +/- . I bought it used about 4 years ago and it’s always ran this way. It’s my first boat, and just curious if this is normal behavior. Should it rev to 5600 immediately from a dead stop?

I have exactly the same year boat model and engine combination. What you are experiencing seems to be about right. The boat will rocket up to about 35mph in about 3-4 seconds, then continue to climb to 45-47. I’ve had mine up to 50 in a nice tail wind.

Regarding your question on revs… what you’re seeing is about right as well… should rev right up to 4500, then climb from there.
