I'm looking at purchasing a sport boat for me and my dad to use. I'm 18 so I want something fun that is capable of pulling me and a few friends around the lake. My dad is looking for something that is a smooth cruiser to take around the lake. I really like the idea of a jet boat, especially with the nimble handling of one. I'm also looking at the sea ray 185, but the price of the challenger is a little lower. Would the challenger be a good fit? My local dealer does not currently have one in stock so I can't look at one as of now. Also, I'm a bit confused about the superchargers... I've read that mainly the washers need to be replaced...but some people recommend the 100 hour rebuild. Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks,
Ben

hey man....
i just bought a 06 challenger cs w/tower! i wake board with it every weekend! i love it, its got plenty of power and the SC's are recommended a rebuild because of the calvatation! the 215 hp rotax is in there jet skis as well and they get a lot of abuse! ie. jumping wakes and alot af calvatation! which leads to slippage on the clutches in the SC! if you take care of your boat and know what its for, and not try to jump wakes at full throttle i think you will be ok!... get the proper tools needed and a service manual for the boat and check the clearances on the SC regularly! the rebuild kit is about 300 dollars and its not a hard job!
