Hi everyone. I found what looks like a great condition 2008 challenger 180. For those of you who might know mexico, would it be ok for trips from Cancun to Isla Mujeres? I believe it's around a 6 mile trip so not far but can be rough at times. I don't have many options in my price range so was considering it.
Thanks for any thoughts!

A 210 would be better due to the extra free-board at the bow, but you may be OK so long as things don't get too rough out there.

The 180s have a lung slung bow, so you may take some waves over it if the seas get rough. If you do decide to go with a 180, make sure your bilge pump works. Probably wouldn't hurt to install a second just in case.

Or save your money and get something a little bigger.

I saw a series of videos on youtube where a guy and his buddies took a 2010 180SE and a Jet Ski from Miami to the Bahamas. It was quite an interesting series of videos. Of course they were careful with the weather, etc. but they pulled it off. There and back.

Ok, that’s pretty cool!
