Challenger 180 255 throttle smoothness?

Hi all,

Just wondering if on your boats the throttle moves smooth thru the speeds or (like mine) there are small increments in speed.
It's like it has favorite little increments in throttle position or engine rpm and will bump up or down as you move the throttle slowly.
