I just got this seadoo with a single 787
I just finished a tune up on it whre i changed all
The exhaust seals and changed all the oils

But when i took it out in the water today it started
Right away and it topped at 15 mph full throttle

Now spark plugs are new, fuel lines are new
What i did notice when i checked the engine bay area
Is the rave closest to the exhaust is leaking water
And wasnt sure if thats normal.

If thats normal, what else could be causting the boat
Not to accelerate further?

Thanks

we need more info. what kind of RPMs are you seeing at "full throttle"?

Could be something simple like adjusting the throttle cable on carb because its not opening carb completely, or a really bad impeller, or even just the intake was full of weeds.
Could be more complex, bad pump or engine, or carb clogged up. Any surging? Over heat beeping?

Could also be carbon seal...did you notice any excess water in the bilge after running it?

give us as much info as you can about what happened and what you noticed, then we can help more.

I can answer some of the questions and the others i will
Get back to you on.
There was very little water in the bilge
It was going to 7k RPM at full throttle and no over heating beeps
I went under to check for weeds and it was clean

Cavitation??
7K rpms and no speed:
I would check the wear ring, carbon seal, drive shaft splines.

Yep... what he said.

you have a massive air leak into the pump. I'm going to blame the carbon seal. The wear ring doesn't normally cause that much loss of speed, unless it's totally gone.

also check seal around weedless system as it goes through hull, I had a bad seal and it caused cavitation.
