My 2007 RXP had a sudden loss of power, so we took it to the dealership/performance shop that does all of our work. Somehow massive amounts of salt water got into the engine (but did not hydrolock it!), and the engine/supercharger requires a complete rebuild.
I am wondering if any of you have ever had (or know someone who has had) a problem like this. The seadoo has never been flipped or fully submerged, yet the it showed that two codes were tripped for a rollover/submersion. The shop readily admitted that the jetski looked as if it had never been "sank" (it hasnt, and is kept out of the water when not in use).
I want to figure out what caused this, so i can avoid spending 5 grand a second time, or switch to another model.
