I have a 96 GSX. I get excess water in my hull. I inspected my rubber boot on the drive shaft and it is good. I can move the forward clamp on the boot (engine side) around quite abit. I beleive this clamps to the Carbon Ring or the ring seal carrier? Should this be a sloppy fit or is the that a slip fit on the drive shart? Also, is this repair difficult? Do you make the repair throught the bottom of the hull? Thanks

if your mechinally inclined it's and easy fix just did mine in my jetboat after engine rebuild . my shaft was not inline as it was before removing and had some water leakaged, put mine in and let it run at the dock a few mintutes and it set it self in and now is good to go. you'll just have to pull the back end off and the impeller and shaft and re-install just watch how you take it apart so your sure how it goes back together, and all should be fine.
