i have a 2008 seadoo challenger 180se and let the engine run with the flush kit hooked up to it for about 15mins and was trying to see if i could get the engine to clear up from sitting all winter ,little to know that all i needed to do was change the plugs and it runs great but before i turned it off there was a vibrating noise coming from it so i shut it down . I have ben told I probably heated up the carbon drive shaft ring ,the only way to tell is back it in the water and see if the bulge fills up also would it have hurt anything else ,and what should that cost to fix at a dealer a round about price

no codes came up on the dash ,if i hook up the flush kit to it and the carbon drive shaft ring is bad will water come in the bilge

I would refer to the user guide, I am assuming yours is similar to my 2005 Speedster which states "Never let the engine run for longer than 5 minutes. Drive lines seals have no cooling when the boat is out of the water"

Personally I would let it cool down, take it on the water and test it, staying very close to shore.... as for how much it 'could be' to repair the damage, its impossible to know until you know what is actually wrong
