How does one determine whether a carb regulator diaphram is defective?
My CRD, from a 93 GTX has no holes, is pliable, however, the metal ring is tarnished. According to the dealer, the discoloration is the result of water entering the carb.
The dealer states that the age (15 years) and discoloration merits replacement.
What do the experts think? The darn CRD is not cheap, $25.00 for a item that seems would cost less than a fin.
