I have reomved my carbs on my GTX and replaced the engine. I have everything assembled except the linkage for the carbs. How do I make sure they are syncronized properly?

Any advice?:ack:

GTX carb linkage

Hi there

I just finished my carbs on my 97 GTX also. I never change the linkage adjustment tie rods so they should be as they were. But to check it after it was all hooked up, i took a flashlight and a mirror and when applying the throttle i watched the butterflies open and close at the same time. Same for the choke. I kept the backfire screening out and premixed some gas and added some into each carb throat and it would fire and run off the prime until the fuel was depleted. After the third try the lines were primed and she was off and running. So much better than before.
Hope this helps.

Just make sure that the throttle plate gap is the same on both carbs.
