carb filters in my 92 spx ?

are the filters inside my carbs on my 92 spx 580 ? dual carb model. i dont want to tear my carbs apart untill i'm sure. its sluggish out from a grunt. the rpms are there but its slow out of the hole, like really slow. after a min it gets up to plane no problem but every time i slow to a stop, its really slow from a dig again. thinking teh carb filters are plugged up, same thing happened on my 96 xp. cleaned them out, and she ran like a champ. any body know if there are filters in that year carbs ?

Carb or carbs?......

I don't know because your saying "dual carb motor" and that year didn't offer the SPX, let alone a dual carb motor. The first SPX was in 1993 and it was a single carb motor.

Look on the side of your MAG carb, assuming it's a twin model. If you have a square plate with 4 screws holding it on, a pulse line in the middle, going to your engine block, then yes, you have a filter on this type carb.:cheers:
