carb.filter o-ring?

Rebuilt both carbs on my 1997 110 HP 787 engine, followed a video and it did not show putting o-rings on top of the small fuel filters inside the carb. after installing them on the boat I saw another video where they did put the o-rings on top of the filters, are these o-rings required for my Mikuni carbs? Thank you.

Nope, no o-ring. Never saw that before.
